Hello there, and Happy New Year! I just want to take a bit of time to reflect on my reading habits this past year, and my reading goals for the upcoming year.
First off, to focus on how my reading was in 2022. I set my Goodreads reading challenge to 75 books. Sadly, I did not end up reaching this goal, as I only managed to finish 70 books in total. I don’t necessarily care that much about the exact number of books I read, but overall, for me, 70 books just feels like such a letdown after reading 100 in 2021. I don’t think that the quantity of books matters, but I know that I love reading and it makes me happy. I also really want to make a decent dent in my TBR, and when I’m not really reading a lot, it’s disappointing and frustrating because it’s what I want and a big goal of mine. There were so many weeks this past year where I just couldn’t seem to read no matter what, and this is sad to me because, in turn, it makes me upset not to be reading.
So, for 2023, I really want to focus on incorporating reading into my daily routines. In general, I want to work on my routines and habits a lot in this upcoming year, and I want to try and keep reading as much as I can because I know I love it and it makes me so happy.
